Simply put,if you own a volvo and you don't get your service and repairs done by Joe,you are making the largest mistake of your car ownership life.Very knowledgeable, fair pricing and excellent work.None of the repair remorse so many of us have had before we leave a shop.I would highly recommend Swedish Connection.

Joe is the best! He is a Volvo specialist ONLY working on Volvos and literally saved me AT LEAST $5000 and saved me from a major panic attack.

Amanda

Joe is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to Volvo cars. Had to get my car fixed up to sell, and the pricing was more than fair on the services provided. This is the guy to go to in Charlotte if you need help with your Volvo.

Chris

Took my Volvo there and was almost $500 cheaper than the dealership and still used all OEM parts. Was very honest and told the truth on what needed to be done right away and things that I could let go a little while to save up some $$. Liked him so much took my wifes Hyundai there and got that aligned and new tires for very good price. You need to check this guy out. Thanks Joe

I have a 2008 Volvo C30 that is out of warranty @ 140K miles and counting. This was the first time I haven't had my car serviced by a Volvo dealership. Joe did an excellent job, stuck to his word on the quote. Although the job took a little longer to finish than expected due to a parts supplier, I was ok as he communicated to me as soon as he knew about the issue.

The quote that I received and paid for the work at TSC was about half of what the the local dealerships wanted!!!!! I couldn't be happier!!! My wife's 2011 S60 is now due for maint (also out of warranty) I will definitely be taking her car to Joe as well!

Edward

Quick, reasonable and friendly!

Great customer service.

It is a rare thing to find a smart ethical great mechanic who is an expert on your type of car! Joe Doane the owner operator of the Swedish Connection is that guy! Joe has helped bring to perfect operating condition a 2001 Volvo that I purchased for my teenagers first car. He has never tried to sell me any service that was not in my best interest. You can trust him.

Im only writing this review because this shop totally deserves a good review. This is the place to take your car if you have a Volvo. Period.

Joe specializes on Volvos. He is an honest and reliable mechanic that is very hard to find these days which is why I took the time to write this review.

His labor cost is fair and definitely more economical than other shops. He is not your average repair guy that just knows about all the cars in general and tries to apply the same old methods to fix your car. On the contrary, Joe has actual experience working on Volvos, he knows these cars inside out and owns all the special tools and the diagnostic software that is unique to Volvo that is hard to find.

Needless to say but I would strongly recommend you stay away from the dealers. They are not only clueless (shockingly) but also ridiculously expensive but you prolly knew that.

For the record, I have no ties to this business in any way. I just wanted to help out another Volvo owner. That's all.

Ended up driving an hour and a half to see if Joe was able to help me fix my s60r. That hour and a half was definitely worth it. He diagnosed the car and fixed the car in a very timely manor. Not only does he provide good work but he is also very fair with his prices. If you have a Volvo, I would definitely recommend coming here.

Joe communicated very effectively when it came to the symptoms of the issues that my S40 had. He is definitely the best in town.

Owning a used Volvo is new to me BUT I have TRULY found my mechanic. The Swedish Connection is the place for me and Joe explains everything to you Elementary...SO if you are also a Volvo owner DON'T sell yourself short going somewhere else....AWESOME, QUALITY CARE!!

Barbara

Recently bought a used volvo and been searching around for volvo mechanics. All the ones I came across knew nothing, but then I found Joe. Honest and reliable mechanic that works on all his own cars. He's even owned a volvo himself. I recommend anyone who has a volvo that needs work to visit Joe. His prices are fair and he will not stir you in the wrong direction when it comes to your vehicle. He thoroughly explains what he does to your vehicle and how he'll do it. Will be returning in the future for all my volvo needs.

Shakir

A very knowledgeable mechanic. Fair minded fees. Superior service. Midtown Imports was such a huge RIPOFF. Glad to have Joe.

Lisa

Excellent service from start to finish - rare to find today ! If I ever need any work done on my Volvo I will go to them.

My regular mechanic referred me to the Volvo dealer for an issue they didn't feel comfortable handling. I reached out to the Swedish Connection instead, and I am super happy that I did. They live up to their excellent reviews! Joe seems honest, reasonable, dedicated and super knowledgeable about all things Volvo. He took the time to educate me on the issue and provided me with a couple of options. He is down to earth and not pushy at all. His rates are fair, and he is also efficient in his work. I thought that my mechanic in Huntersville would be the last mechanic that I trusted, but I was wrong. If you are looking for someone to take care of your Volvo, I wouldn't hesitate to contact the Swedish Connection.

Went to Volvo dealer with an oil drip issue on an older Volvo for which we have cared for very well for years. I simply wanted to know if it is worth fixing. Beautiful car, well maintained, but don't want to waste money either. They put me in a new loaner, and a week later told me it would be over $4000 to remove engine and replace all seals, $1800 to replace leaky sunroof, etc. Told me I'm better off buying a new one. Went to Swedish Connection for opinion. Was able to easily diagnose and solve the leak, repair sunroof and even replaced brakes/rotors which I knew were needed all for under $2000. Most honest shop I have ever been to...I won't take my Volvo anywhere else.

I reside in New york and my son who drives a volvo v70 had a broken hood latch. Joe (owns the establishment and works on the cars himself) was very understanding and took him in on a saturday morning and fixed the hood latch for $10. The dealer wanted $800 to replace the entire assembly and another prominent volvo shop in Charlotte wanted $100 to just look at it. Joe knows his stuff and we now have a someone who is reliable, demonstrates integrity, extremely pleasant to work with and one who we will return for any and all our automotive (not just our volvo's) repair and service needs. Thank you Joe - you truly are customer oriented and one who can be trusted with all out automotive needs.
